About Us
Welcome to the City of Pompano Beach Planning and Zoning Department! Our purpose is to promote the public health, safety, and general welfare, and to implement the goals, objectives, and policies of the City of Pompano Beach Comprehensive Plan.
Our goal is simple: create a city that is safe, beautiful, sustainable, and enjoyable for generations to come. The Zoning Code helps protect our neighborhoods, preserve our natural and historic resources, support local businesses, improve transportation and parks, and encourage vibrant, walkable places where people can live, work, shop, and play.
By providing clear and consistent standards, the Code makes the development process easier to understand while balancing the needs of property owners, residents, businesses, and visitors. Together, we're building a Pompano Beach that celebrates its unique character while embracing new opportunities for the future.
